The challenge of the 15th edition of the Raid has once again been taken up by EDHEC Business School in this cross country race that brings together professionals and students over 5 days of hiking, canyoning, rafting and kayaking.
EDHEC Adventures is a student association that was created in 1994 and brings together each year an organising team of more than 40 motivated students, all of who share their passion for adventure. The N°1 event that this association organises one is without doubt the Raid EDHEC. The team is responsible for planning the competition, choosing the route (a closely guarded secret until the start of the competition) and taking care for all the logistics and administrative problems. EDHEC Adventures has become one of the most dynamic associations of EDHEC, while remaining financially and legally independent to the school through their company sponsorship.
Since its creation, the project has been supported by many people such as: Gerard Fusil (creator of the Raid Gauloises and organizer of the Elf Authentic Adventure and Raid Reunion), His Majesty Prince Albert of Monaco, Nathalie Lelièvre (7 times World Champion of funboard), Stephane Perrot (recordman of Europe's 100m breaststroke) and at the previous edition, Loic Leferme (world champion and world record holder in free diving).
EDHEC Adventures is the first bi-campus association. This means that the association is represented in both Nice and Lille campus and work together in the organisation of events. This strategy allows the association to be well-known in France by developing a nation-wide communication to partners and sponsors and attract more and more participants each year. This commitment is part of the overall objective to develop the visibility of Raid EDHEC at the national and international level.
