EDHEC is pleased to announce the second in a series of live web conferences aimed at highlighting the strengths of the new Masters of Science programmes. This conference which focuses on the MSc in Corporate Finance, follows shortly after last week's highly successful live web conference on the advantages and career prospects of EDHEC's MSc in Accounting and Management Control which attracted over 400 participants from around the world.
On May 30th at 3pm*, young Finance graduate Mr Olivier Levy-Bencheton, Equity Analyst for Morgan Stanley in London will describe his career path since leaving EDHEC describe his current job activities as an analyst on the propriety trading desk. Professor David Hampton, programme manager of EDHEC's four finance related programmes will also be present during the conference to develop the contents and career prospects of EDHEC's new MSc in Corporate Finance programme and answer prospects' personal questions via chat.
Mr Levy-Bencheton graduated from EDHEC in 2005 and joined the Investment Banking Graduate Programme of HSBC in August 2005 in London. He spent two years at HSBC working in the Mergers and Acquisitions team (6 months in the Telecoms team and 1.5 year in the Financial Sponsors team) and then moved to JP Morgan in August 2007 to work as a desk-based analyst on a propriety trading desk which is part of the Equity Derivatives Group and focuses mainly on Convertible Bonds. His role involves giving views on Equity and Credit valuations of our portfolio companies and providing trade ideas for the desk and requires financial modelling skills and adaptability.

The Guest speaker, Mr Kaiser, CFO of Faconnable, has 25 years of international experience in brands and large corporate groups including Renault, LVMH, and Credit Lyonnais. Having held positions such as Head of Finance in Credit Lyonnais, China, he has a solid outlook on the job perspectives of Accounting graduates. During his presentation he elaborated on the role of CFO, the importance of this role in a company, the daily tasks and challenges of this position and the competencies that are required to fulfil this role.
Following his presentation he answered several questions that came in via chat from participants worldwide. Prospective students were interested in Mr. Kaiser's opinion on topics such as what type of internships they should choose and the kind of positions they can expect upon graduation of the EDHEC Accounting MSc. He was very positive about the new Accounting programme stating that the course contents will shape the competencies in demand and needed for a successful career in Accounting, and confirmed that he would definitely recruit more Accounting graduates from EDHEC.
